MANAGER; M & E DATA CENTRE
JOB SUMMARY
Manage all network operations and maintenance activities of the data centre, including capacity monitoring and supervision of all network element installations.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS
Ensure AC power and cooling availability target of 99.8% in Data Centres/MGW sites
Ensure DC power and cooling availability target of 100% in Data Centres/MGW sites
Ensure strict control and compliance to Data Centers and MGW sites Access procedures
Ensure strict compliance of change request execution, oversee all routine and corrective maintenance for power andcooling systems, spare parts management and inventory, space management, equipment records and performance data.
Ensure all operation/implementation activities in the Data Centres are executed in a professional manner and in compliance with the approved change request and access procedures.
Monitor and control network element capacity utilization and always ensure that utilization level does not exceed industry standard.
Prepare reports on capacity constraints to the relevant units for possible equipment upgrade.www.jobcenternigeria.com
Support the network quality assurance team in regular monitoring, tracking and reporting of discrepancies in network elements and reporting same to the relevant stakeholders.
Keep an updated list and layout of all nodes installed in the data centre indicating clearly their details/specifications, near and far end connectivity
Ensure all installed equipment in the data centre is maintained in accordance with the outlined maintenance schedules and procedures and keep comprehensive maintenance history of all equipment.
Build and maintain effective relationships with switch implementation vendors as well as coordinate maintenance activities between the vendors and internal stakeholders in terms of planning, scheduling and database management.
Ensure compliance with the organization’s quality policy on all core network O & M and identify areas where the quality policy needs improvement for escalation to the quality assurance unit for appropriate action.

MANAGER, CS CORE
JOB SUMMARY
Assist in the design, planning and optimisation of circuit switching components of Etisalat’s core network, systems and platforms.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS
Provide input in translating Etisalat business plan and subscriber growth assumptions into requirements for the core network circuit switching system.
Review the unit/ team’s activities, make recommendations for improvement and implement approved improvement initiatives to ensure enhanced performance of the team.
Direct the timely provisioning of the circuit switching network capacity for all the GSM elements, features, protocols etc.
Provide useful inputs in defining the locations for circuit switches and other network elements
Design, plan and dimension circuit switching network elements to ensure optimal use and deployment of resources
Define and direct the requirement for capacity planning and management of services on the Prepaid and Intelligent Network.
Perform technical investigations into areas related to circuit switching network design and performance, such as new types of hardware, new design methodologies,impact of new technologies (GPRS, EDGE).
Coordinate the unit’s activities and ensure compliance with the organisation’s operating policies, controls and procedures.
Manage inter-functional relations to ensure synergy across the various departmental functions.
Provide leadership and guidance to team members and manage subordinate’s performance towards the achievement of overall team objectives.
Perform any other duties or responsibilities assigned by Head, Core and VAS
